Freedom OTS- Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We are going on our third RCCL cruise this June. We will be on the Freedom OTS that makes port in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.

I have a question about this port of call. I understand there is a lot of shopping available. Is the shopping district within easy access from where the ship docks? My wife would enjoy the shopping and my son would like to go to the beach (emphasis on finding a jet ski). Is there a beach that is close to the shopping area? That way I could do both at one time and make everyone happy.

The ship pulls in right by the Havensight shopping. It has many of the same shops that are in the downtown area. Some believe you can bargain better downtown rather than at Havensight because it's right by the ships. You will need to take a taxi to a beach. There are several; Morning Star, Sapphire, Coki, Megan's Bay.
