I noticed today on the RCCL website that the price of our cruise was reduced by $100 per person. I called Royal Caribbean and $200 will be deducted from our final payment. Thank you RCCL!

That's a nice little surprise when it happens; and nice that it's so easy to take advantage of.

I'm liking the discounts I get on balcony and suite cabins with Royal Caribbean because I am a diamond Crown & Anchor member. Our cruise next June has a $225 discount for a junior suite, and for the epic 15 night cruise through the Panama Canal we have $325 knocked off the price.

Nadine is indeed fortunate because RCI changed their policy a year ago or more that they wouldn't lower prices after 48hrs of booking. I guess it depends on which reservation agent you get whether they follow their own rules or not.

You'd think they would realize that people could just cancel and rebook--assuming you're not into penalty phase yet.

I would think it would be good PR to give the discounted price. Why should a person have to pay more just because they booked far in advance? I suppose there is some corporate logic working here.

I'm just happy that I talked to a very pleasant agent who was willing to provide good service.

Dave, that's neat that you got nice discounts. We aren't diamond members yet, but we are working on it!!
