hair dryer
The wife and I leave on the Oasis next Saturday. I am starting to pack or at least setting items aside that need packing.
I am trying to talk the wife out of taking her big/bulky hair dryer. Is the hair dryer that is provided going to be sufficient?
On previous cruises some of the hair dryers have not been very affective.

Opinions will vary on this subject depending on a persons thickness of hair. Personally, I think they are adequate and I have thick hair. They have high and low settings.

I will have her read your post. Thank you.

Tell her she can bring the hair dryer, but it will cost her a pair of shoes in the luggage.
It's all about balance.

Too Many Toys
I try and remind my wife that she is on vacation, not going out with her friends and family. EVERYONE here will remind you NOT to over pack. There are usually 2 formal nights on a 7 day cruise. Unless you're going to really dress up for them (I'm on vacation-I'm not trying to impress anyone with how well I can clean up), leave most of the stuff home. The cabins have hair dryers, shampoo and conditioner and towels. My wife learned after the first, when she packed the house, and only got half way through the first suitcase. Don't be mean like I was and make her pull the suitcases she brings tho-bad form........

My wife has thick red hair and is happy with the ship's hair dryers. It just may take a minute or two longer.

Me? I burr cut my hair to about 1/8 inch all over, so I don't need a hair dryer!
