Has anyone had a category TR, atrium stateroom on Voyager or Explorer? What did you think?

I had friends who were in an atrium cabin on the Explorer and we watched the parade from their room. They loved it, as did I, and found it quite enjoyable. I also booked a family with connecting Atrium cabins on the Voyager and they too were very happy.

Nancy, some friends of mine have an atrium on my explorer cruise and invited me to watch from their room. I thought since the windows don't open, it would feel "distant"...you didn't feel that way? I'm not one for crowds...

The lower portion of the window opened just enough to hear all the sounds below.

We had a TR stateroom on the explorer and LOVED it! We did a lot of people watching as well as watched the parades etc. from our room.
Just remember to close the curtains when dressing - people across from you can see into your window if it is open!

We're thinking about booking an atrium room on Navigator of the Seas in March....were they more noisy due to the window?? Did the window help with the layout of the room...making it seem more spacious??

It wasn't noisy at all! The window did make the room seem bigger and there was a love seat under the window so you could sit and look out. I think you will enjoy it!
