HELLO, I NEED TO KNOW IF THE LIBERTY OF THE SEAS HAVE LAUNDRY ROOM THANKS

Most cruise lines (including RCI) will do laundry for a fee. You do not have access to their laundry facilities, nor are irons permitted in the staterooms because of a fire hazard. On my last cruise on the Enchantment, there was one night (I forget which night it was) where they would do all the laundry you could fit in the bag for one flat rate, as opposed to charging by the item. |

People like to complain about shipboard pricing...the RCI price to dry clean and press a suit is $9.00. My local dry cleaner charges $9.61 plus a 0.29 cent environmental fee, so RCI is actually 90 cents cheaper.

I usually only need my suit to be pressed which is only $4.50! I don't have a comparison though as CCL stopped doing Dry Cleaning because of environmental concerns. For what I pay locally it seems quite reasonable.

I never thought if it before, but I could just throw my tux or dinner jacket into my suitcase and have it cleaned and pressed on the ship instead of packing it already cleaned and pressed. That way I won't have to worry about it getting wrinkled.

At talk with ship staff, someone suggested having washers and driers on board for guests, but thinking about it, I think it would be too hard to coordinate. So I think it's better off that you either hand wash your own clothes or give them to RC guest laundry.
I don't think the laundry is exorbitant. A pair of shorts is $3. Then they have a special where a whole bag of clothes is $25. |

Some cruise lines charge to use the machines, while some upscale cruise lines do not charge. These laundromats are not always located on every floor; some are on every other floor that has passenger cabins. I never had a problem finding an empty washer or dryer, except for the last day onboard, when everyone seems to want to wash their clothes before returning home. Royal Caribbean doesn't have these self-service machines. |
Thanks for the info Sandy. I didn't know other lines had guest laundromats. I thought it would be too complicated to do so because you'd have to have a lot of machines to accommodate the guests, maintenance, and then I can imagine other problems. But if it's working on other lines, then I'm sure it would work on RCI too.
