I wonder if they're going to charge for the decorating classes. I'm not talented enough to make my decorations look like they're supposed to. I wonder what's in a pupcake.

Cupcakes are big business ! I checked around this about average with at least 5 purchased at $15 ! You can buya $10 cupcake or MORE easily, silly folks...I will give a Girl Scout or School Child a $1 for a cupcake, and my DH would buy anything from a Child selling at the grocery store, Lord knows what he would spend, better I don't know. Hope they give a taste Dave !

I just keep getting the "nickel & dime you to death" feeling every time I hear of another income stream they have come up with.

Just got off the Liberty b2b and I heard a lot of complaining guests. Ben and Jerry's looks pretty but very few people were "biting". When the Voyager came out it was free. Now Johnny Rockets has a $4.95 cover charge...juice is $2.95 a glass...specialty coffee is $2.95+...the only drinks you can get in the Promenade Cafe are water, reg coffee or tea...no iced tea or lemonade (by the way, the water in that particular place tasted awful)

On our first cruise in '99 on the Rhapsody, only alcohol was extra...they are losing us...

How did everything else go Liberty Girl ?

I think we all know if we are going to pay $40-80 a day for a cruise, then they have to increase the income streams. If we paid $100-150 a day they could include all those things. Many of us have recounted stories of paying twice the price and more FOR PAST CRUISES. The truth is one way or another We Are Gonna Pay. Now they tempt us with lower cruise bookings, and hope to make it up on the NEW INCOME STREAMS. I am paying less for the cruise and my Sea Pass is less, as I MATURE....hee-hee

My past cruises haven't been more...everything associated with a cruise, for those of us who have to travel a distance, has gone up (flights, parking, hotel, taxi...) The all-inclusive attractiveness of cruising is disappearing, so there are some of us who will be switching to the more expensive cruise lines which are really all inclusive and which may turn out to be not only comparable in price, but an overall better experience.

I think RCCL is going to have to strike a balance. I am a boomer...the largest demographic out there...and they are losing more and more of us.

I thought Chops & Portofino are priced reasonably for the food and service you got and I am willing to pay that small amount for the experience...but Seafood Shack?
