We been doing the My Time Dining since it started and I really like prepaying tips. I consider it part of the price of the cruise and the sooner it's paid off the better. We also tip the bartender in the concierge lounge 5 or 10 each night depending how much time we spend in there.
I didn't know you were going on the Allure, I have a good friend that's the Concierge on the Allure. I should have paid more attention and I could have given you his name. He gave Dave a welcome feeling and I'm sure the same would go for you if you mentioned my name. I feel bad about canceling my March 3rd cruise on the Allure, but Esther and I have too much going on. The Allure is my favorite ship.
Casey, when are we going to see you and Kathy again? You wouldn't happen to be going on any of the sailing I have posted below, are you? I'll be crowned a Pinnacle on the December 2nd sailing. All the drinks will be on me in the Concierge Lounge. You and Kathy should be getting close to getting to Pinnacle status - or are you already?
Yes, Dexter on the Allure. Very nice man. He was diamond concierge on our Allure sailing. I think he sent two bottles of wine to our suite and then called us a couple times to ask how things were going. He didn't have to do any of it since we already had suite concierge perks.
Dexter took better care of us that week than the suite concierge did at the time. I remember how excited Dexter got when I told him I knew Sonny. He told me he talked to you often.
Hi Sonny, We are still a few hundred points shy from reaching that level. We would enjoy cruising with you and Esther again especially if your BUYING the drinks in the lounge. After 35 years working as a butcher I gave up my 5 weeks vacation to go to work for The Bay Area Rapid Transit System. I love the job but am now at the bottom of the vacation ladder. I think by the time we have the points the goal posts will be moved.
We booked our 9 day cruise with RC back in October. I just paid the balance today and asked if there was any chance we could reduce the daily charges for 3 small children and was told that all charges were compulsary. I pointed out that their website stated that changes can be made pre departure but representative didn't know of this. When I pushed I was told that it might be possible to change the amounts by asking the purser on board. When we booked the cruise gratuties were optional! One of the reasons we went with RC. Now it's going to take a bite out of parents budget to pay $60.00 per day for a 9 day cruise. Have cruised for years, don't have a problem with the daily charge, but think some leaway should be made for families with small children.
