Luggage tags FYI

This message is not all that important..Possibally answering further questions

We received our luggage tags today. Took about 5 days or less. 8 tags per person personally think about 5 too many.
When I ordered them I was able to order 1 set for me and 1 set for husband. We have same residency..RCCL will mail them TOGETHER..I think that's good less postage less paper.
So if anyone out there gets a little freaked out when they receive 1 enevelope from RCCL (and they are expecting tags)..DON'T (I was wondering why mine was late when I ordered them @ same time..Tags were addressed to husband)

Hi Candice!

Good to know for future reference. Yes, RCI is generous so to speak with the luggage tags. It can't hurt to pack the extras in the bags that you plan to carry on on the plane. The reason being, if you attach the tags to the bags before you leave home, and find that they're missing after you claim your bags, you can attach another tag.

However, if you're flying down the day before, then your best bet is to attach them at the hotel.

That's exactly what we were thinking AND going to do..We are going down 3 days prior to cruise. We won't attach them till day we leave for cruise. Don't want any confuson (airline part) when leaving.
Nice to have extra in case I some how screw up attaching them. Most likely I will

We actually have received 2 sets of tags in two separate envelopes for our Oasis cruise in October. (16 tags total). It only took 5 days from the time we ordered them.

We also always fly in the day before and put the tags on at the hotel.

When we have extra tags, we always put one inside our bags in case they get ripped off the outside. We also may put one on or in our carry on in case we misplace them

We usually attach one tag to each handle on our luggage before we arrive at the port just in case one gets torn off during handling by the porters. I'd rather use up the additional tags than have to go claim luggage late on the first evening of the cruise.

TexCruise and Midwest Cruiser Thanks for advice. TexCruise was actually thinking of putting tags on carryon..good idea..
Will put extras in luggage just in case.
Midwest Cruiser good idea with putting tags on all handles did not think of that..You never know if one could get ripped off
