Meanwhile, the C&A staff in Miami continues to frustrate me. For the longest time they have sent my wife e-mails about special pricing and other things, but not me. I asked why and they said they didn't know. Still haven't fixed it. I made Diamond Plus in January and all that happened was my account was updated to reflect it. No 'congratulations' card or anything. So what arrived in the mail today? My son gets a card welcoming him to D+, his D+ luggage tags, and a promise to personally present him with his D+ pin on our Oasis cruise which starts this weekend. I have heard nothing, my wife has heard nothing.

Dave, did you try calling the Diamond Plus Desk? They can usually take care of those kind of glitches.

I'm going to wait and see what comes in the mail tomorrow. It could be they just sent them out a few days ago and our son's got here first. If not I'll call. I do expect to see the D+ pins for all of us in the cabin on Oasis. If that doesn't happen I'll bring it up with the loyalty ambassador at our appointment for the next cruise.

I like to use the pins as tie tacks.

I've been told that Super Mario will be on your cruise. Look for the silver haired man in a bathing suit and smoking a cigar sitting at a table on the pool deck in the afternoon. He usually marks out his territory and one way or another manages to be sitting in the same place every day. Mario has over 4000 points now. RCI's top cruiser. Nice guy too.

I will definitely look for him. I am, by nature, a very shy person, but I might actually walk up and say hello after a few cold ones.

Thanks for the tip!

Actually, people watching is one of my favorite things to do. I come up with all kinds of stories about what people are like, etc. Actually, my oldest daughter and I (she is now 18 and I am 43) were sitting on the pool deck one day on a ship and when the middle aged couple next to us started talking to us, they said that they thought my daughter was my girlfriend and that I was some kind of dirty old man! I am sure glad that they talked to us!

Wow, for some reason I find myself in a great mood tonight.

Take care,

Brad
