Question Pearl Harbor
Going on our first TP next April, 2017 on Explorer and I'm excited about going to Pearl Harbor. I don't care if I'm there ALL day-I'm asking anyone who has gone there during a cruise; is it better (i.e. getting to see EVERYTHING possible) to book a ship's excursion, and if so, which one, or doing a visit on your own or with a local vendor? I want to see the memorial and go TO the memorial, the battleship and anything else available to see. This will be a once in MY lifetime visit, and I don't want to miss anything. I am a founding founding member, locally, of the Warriors Watch Riders, and I plan and hope to be able to leave one of our coins and our mission beads in honor of the people who served our country then, and throughout the war. They deserve only our highest respect and honor.
Also, IF you all recommend doing this on my own, is it possible, or should I try, to obtain tickets or whatever is required to enter the memorial and the other displays; and where would I find a way to purchase the passes or tickets?

Try looking at https://www.viator.com/Oahu/d672-ttd
I would take the earliest tour in the morning.
