Cool Transpacific Cruise
Has anyone cruised from Sydney to Seattle, or the other way, and stopped at Fiji, or New Caledonia or Vanateau (sp) who can tell me what currency is needed on these islands? Or, in other words, do they accept US currency there for whatever you want to buy or do IF you don't book excursions thru the ship or on the web site? I know Sydney has their own nation's currency, and we're already getting some for that port, but will we need something else for the other islands? 61 days and counting!!

Central Pacific Franc (CFP) in New Caledonia and the Vatu (VUV) in Vanuatu.

By the way, Internet Brands has decided to stop hosting this website on March 1. That means it will be closed. They will be posting something about it soon. If you have a Facebook account you can find me there, along with most of the other forum members.

They appear to be taking there time closing things down, in typical IB fashion. So it could be tomorrow, or five years from now when it happens. But, the entire staff was told our last day was February 28, and I've started a new blog and moved on. I don't have a forum, but post new press releases and will post about other things as time goes on. It is at Cruising.News – Cruising News And Commentary – And That's All
