Seas out of New Jersey for eastern caribbean

Hi,

We are considering the 9 day eastern caribbean cruise out of New Jersey on the explorer in March and wondered if anyone has experience on what the seas might be like on this cruise. We have only done one cruise previously which was a westen caribbean cruise on the voyageur from florida and thought the seas might be rougher on the eastern cruise out of Jersey. Any input appreciated.

Welcome to Cruise-Chat, cygnus. There's no way to predict the seas unless you know the weather forecast prior to sailing. Even if someone experienced heavy seas in March a year or two ago, it doesn't mean you wouldn't have calm seas when you sail. The weather has to be pretty poor before you feel much movement on the mega ships.

Thanks Sonny. I was just curious if coming doown the eastern seaboard or doing the eastern caribbean typically had bigger waves or stronger currents than the western caribbean that would impact the ships. I realize that the weather can change but was just curious if there were any trends. Thanks for the reply though and the welcome.
