I wanted to know if anyone knows the pro's and con's to choosing a rear balcony room. Are there any blocked views, or noise hindrance? Is this a a good cabin to have?
I have photos and will try to have my teenager who is better at this stuff than I am post them here. If you look at the deck plan the rooms at the outside edges have steel curving around and it is a little claustrophobic. The balcony is deeper, and the room a bit larger (more square) so you will have to weigh the pluses and minuses of them. The more central rooms have less of this, but the balconies are nice and large, big enough to lounge chairs, and the lower level suites have tables on them even.

Well, I don't know if that worked or Not! It does show some of the structure coming down around the balcony. In the third image has the back of another ship at the pier--we truly were on the back of the ship with a clear ocean view when not in port!

Oh wow..that does give me a good idea...Beautiful pictures...BTW..I don't care that much about the railings...I think the plus for me is a larger balcony...and the beautiful wide open view...We have booked 6710 on the independence of the seas...So I am hoping this rocks....If anyone has stayed in this particular cabin, please feel free to let us know how it was.
