Not wanting to overshadow the Oasis big media debut on Friday, RCI announced today that the Allure was floated out of drydock...on last Friday.

Allure will be pretty much identical to the Oasis, although the decor will vary.

Allure Of The Seas is set to debut in about a year.

How is the world do they expect to fill all these ships with the economy heading the way it is?

I just wonder how they're going to pay for her. They had trouble with their financing on the Oasis.

Corkgirl, I LOVE your idea!

Another ship I have to go on...But someone has to do it....I volunteer...and I'm sure we won't have to fight 6,000 passengers...there won't be that many on board.....:-)....these ships may just end up as dry dock hotels.....Or do you think RCL will scuttle 4 or 5 of their other ships?....Hope not......Happy Sailing to us all...

I've been booked for a cruise on the Allure for several months now and in Sept. 2011 I'll be at sea aboard her - I'll let them work out the bugs on the Oasis!!! Still - it is a long wait!!!

Just found out that a charter tour company that we have travelled with 4 times previously has booked Allure for January 2011!
I'm hoping it works into my work schedule, because we are going to book that trip!
Can't wait!
There had been some question as to if the ship was too big to book, and some questions as to if the public spaces could handle the large crowds, but I guess the outcry from people who wanted to go on the Oasis class ships was too much to pass up....
