WE have cruised 7 times, 6 with RCCl and once with Princess. While on Princess we spent the week wishing we were on RCCL.

We have been approached about going to Hawaii on the Carnival Spirit. I know this is a subjective topic but I am looking for opinions regarding the differences between the 2 lines.

Thoughts?

I think if you were wishing you were on a RCCL ship while you were on a Princess ship, you'll be wishing the same thing again. Maybe I'm wrong, but I will be interested in hearing your comments if you decide to do the Hawaiian cruise.

I see you still have a ticker that's over a year old--do you know how to delete it?

Yes, click on the Go tab, click on Personal Zone, the Edit your profile, go to your signature, highlight the code and press delete. Your cruise ticker will be deleted.

We have been on both equal amount of times. The RCL boats are nicer unless you get a new Carnival boat. But the staff is so much more pleasant and helpful with Carnival then RCL. So we have started to just book Carnival now.

That's a tough call, Wilson. We've sailed on HAL, Princess, RCCL, NCL, Carnival, Costa, and Celebrity. Each line has its plus/minus attributes. We cruise on each line and try not to compare it to the other, just enjoy the experience. We prefer Princess to Royal, but that's us.

You won't know until you try it, though http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif What's good for me, might not be good for you. Nothing like first hand experience, plus it gives you an excuse to book another cruise http://bestsmileys.com/lol/21.gif

Our last 2 cruises were with Carnival and both cruises we missid RCCL. In my opinion, the ships are so much nicer, the food is better, and the staff is much better on RCCL. I think you would still have a good time on a Carnival ship, we did but it's not the same as being on a beautiful RCCL ship. We are going on Freedom this year and can't wait.
