Rental Cars

We are flying into Miami a day early and will be renting a car at the airport to do some sightseeing. Does anyone out there know if there is car rental at the pier so that I can drop the car off there, or do I need to drop it off back at the airport and take a taxi to the pier?

After 9/11 the port of Miami removed all car rental agencies from the facility. Many of the rental agencies have set up offices near the port. You'll need to check with whoever you rent from to see where their nearest office is. Not sure if they offer a shuttle to the port.

Thrifty, Alamo, and Hertz all have locations near the port. They should also have shuttle to take you to the pier.
