what is it with RC holding back the Caribbean bookings for July 2010? they only have the oasis and it is outrageously priced... Any ideas when they will release the rest of the 2010 bookings?

RCI is going to have 8 ships in Europe in 2010 and 4 doing Alaska. Take away the Monarch and Majesty doing the Bahamas, and you have 7 ships left for everything else. In other words, it may very well be just the Oasis, Freedom, and Liberty doing 7-night Caribbean cruises.
I thought the Serenade and Adventure always sailed out of San Juan except when the Serenade did it's Alaska itinerary.
I didn't realize that, but looking at the Serenade's schedule it does go out of San Juan. Perhaps it will now be solely based in San Juan and be RCI's only ship there?
It is curious that RCI is putting so many resources in Europe while Carnival canceled some previously planned European repositionings and kept those vessels in the U.S.
I was booked on Carnival for this summer for a northern european cruise.. they cancelled it.. the difference between carnival and RC is that RC is using smaller ships and they are leaving them there. carnival was sending a ship the size or LOS to europe for 4-6 cruises then bringing it back to the caribbean. it doesnt work as well.. im glad carnival cancelled.
