Anyone know if Johny Rockets on the Adventure of the Seas does or doesn't charge a surcharge? I read somewhere that they charged for milkshakes, someplace else that there was a surcharge for burgers and another source said there was no service fee. Who do I believe? Anyone know the real scoop?

Hi,

there will be a US$ 3.95 per person charge on "Adventure of the Seas" from tomorrow, October 24th. Sodas and milkshakes are not included in this charge and are extra.

The information Raoul shared is correct. To explain some of the conflicting messages you have read, here is a bit of background. When JR's were first introduced, RC imposed a service fee. Many passengers complained and RC decided to remove the automatic service fee, but charged extra for the milkshakes and malts. Then, in an effort to control dining traffic and eliminate lines (or at least that is the "official reason" from the cruise line) they re-instated the fee on the Mariner and Navigator on a trial basis. In a recent press release they indicated that their trial run accomplished its task and the fee would now be imposed on all of the Voyager Class ships. Hope that helps explain the confusion.
Nancy
