We're going on the 11 night Empress of the Seas cruise next year. I can't seem to find any revues of the ship since it was refitted in 2004. Has anyone been on her since then? I'm a little concerned about past negative reviews.

I am going in September and didn't think about looking for reviews until I had already booked it! I am hoping for the best! I think though, sometimes you see negative reviews from some, and positive from others. I don't know how much you can really read into those...

I built a cool little tour of the Empress while I was working on it as a Video Technician. It's Quicktime VR, and you can see 360-degree views of most of the ship's public (and not-so-public) areas.

Very impressive! What I liked best was the headless woman in the Boutiques of Centrum. Almost appears as a ghost. Could it be?

Thanks for the feedback on the tour! Yeah, the headless woman in the gift shop is pretty interesting. In low lighting, I have to leave the lens open for a few seconds, and when people are walking around, it leaves some pretty cool streaks on the images. I've experimented with lights and movement, and come up with some pretty crazy looking images. None of them on that site though...I don't actually think I have any of those posted anywhere...hmmm....
