I've heard the RCCL no longer requires life jackets at muster drills. Does anyone know if this is true?
Finally. No more sitting stuffed like a sardine in a can while the kids blow the whistles. And everyone lugging them around beforehand while they can still use the elevators!!!

Hi Poormom,

It is true. No more bulky life jackets required for the muster drill.

Enjoy your cruise!

Yes, this is true. Life jackets are no longer required at the muster drill, but I think the crew still demonstrates how to put them on.

Yup - I was on the Monarch two weeks ago--no life jackets at the muster drill. It's been RCCL's policy for about a year now.

We did have to wear our jackets last spring on the So. Caribbean out of SJ; but it will be nice not to have to put that thing on the next time around.
