Hi! Anyone else planning this trip departing Honolulu and sailing to Ensenada Mexico?

I've cruised RC once before to the Western Caribean and once on Holland Am. to Alaska.

I expect to make my own air plans but I am having some poblem putting together the flight requests (I am not a novice at air travel booking but not for cruises that return to a different port than the departure).

Does anyone have experience in booking flights that would get me to Honolulu from Philly and then back from San Diego.

I would prefer to not book through RC and prefer a rest (overnight even) on the way to Honolulu.

Thanks.

It sounds like it is going to be a great cruise. I think the Radiance class ships are the best.

Here is an idea on the air. Book a round trip to San Diego on the dates that you want to depart and then return from the cruise. If you want to overnight on the way, book a one-way fare from San Diego to Honolulu (or buy a round trip and just no-show the return, if that is cheaper). Try Aloha Airlines from San Diego.

Bill, most cruise lines will also allow you to do what is called an open jaw which would allow you to travel to one destination and return from another without paying the expensive one-way fares. A travel agent could help you with this, but if you are determined to do it on your own: go to the "multiple destinations" rather than round trip option on the airline site.
