My sister and I will be taking our first cruise this week. Can you tell me if they take your luggage once you have unpacked to store it? We are sailing on RC Majesty of the Sea.

Welcome to cruise-chat. A first cruise is always exciting! But then they all are to me.

Your luggage will not be picked up for storage. You will need to store it in your cabin. Usually the best location is to slide it under the beds.

Hi mdluvs2shop, welcome to Cruise-Chat! Congratulations on your first cruise! Just be warned cruising is addictive You and your sister are in for a marvelous time. As Dave stated, your luggage fits well under your beds.

You will get a newsletter in your cabin every evening that will outline the days events. You can do as much or as little as you want. The one thing is, you probably can't do all of it. They have so many wonderful activities. Plus, you have your ports of call.

Best wishes and once again, welcome aboard!

Hi, and welcome!

You've picked a great ship for your first cruise, as this was the ship for my first cruise!

As stated, most suitcases should fit under your bed after you have unpacked and put everything away. RCI, or any cruise line, does not store luggage.

We always slide our luggage under the bed. We put our carry-on luggage inside the larger luggage. When we do a back to back cruise we usually have 4 suitcases - we always over pack.

I always over pack too. Put the smaller ones in the bigger ones like Sonny suggested and they will usually store under the beds just fine.

Welcome aboard,
