Has anyone sailed on the Navigator of the Seas lately who could give me some info on the My Time Dining (maybe it is called something else). I remember in the past having been on Explorer of Seas a few years back, there was no such thing. We had a set time. But when we booked for May 2010 for Med /Egypt cruise, they said set time was sold out and that we would have anytime dining. We found Anytime Dining on Princess Emerald Xmas cruise wery unsettling because we were a group of 10 and we had to wake up at 8 am every day and call for a reservation for that evening. That was quite unwelcomed. Does anyone know the procedure on Navigator of the Seas? Will we have to wake up at such an hour too and reserve daily. If so, we will not be happy.
When you board on embarkation day you can go and make a reservation at My Time Dining and have them keep that time for you for the whole cruise. That is what they did for me on the Oasis last month. I asked for a set time and got a confirmation in my cabin saying I was good for the same time every night.
Otherwise, you will have to make daily reservations if you want different dining times each night. And that does mean getting up and phoning in your request early to ensure you get your best choices.
Thanks Dave. That is what I will do. The ability to reserve for the whole week a set time appeals to us. We had a terrible time on the Emerald Princess not being allowed to do this. That was the only thing about that cruise that I did not enjoy having to wake up at 8 and make a daily reservation. So, hopefully, this works better on the Navigator of the Seas. Thanks for update.
