On a four day cruise are there any formal nights? If there are what days would they be?

There is one formal night. It depends on the itinerary as to which night it will be. I can guarantee it won't be the first or last night of the cruise.

Thank you very much Dave. Now, if I could just get my cruise ticker fixed. Alas, my work is never done. Oh yeah, I'm going on a cruise soon. Yee Haw!

You need to change the ticker format to BB.

If it's the same cruise I went on (4 night Bahamas cruise), the formal night is the second night. All the other nights are casual.

Hi Michael, thanks for your help. It is a 4 night Bahama Cruise. So, you don't think there will be any smart dress? That would help a lot with my packing. This is my third cruise and I have promised myself not to over pack this time.

4-night cruises have 3 casual and 1 formal according to the RCI website. No "smart casual".

I can tell you for a fact, as I went on this itinerary a couple years ago, that there is no "smart casual" night.

I can't stand the sub-categories of dress. Why the cruise lines feel a need to muddy the waters escapes me. "Smart casual". "Semi formal". Even "Informal", which oddly enough means jacket and tie on the lines which use this one.

All the sub-categories confuse the heck out of me. I had to call a friend to get advice on what Smart Business Casual meant a few weeks ago for a luncheon. I knew what Business Casual meant, but then they had to add the Smart to it.
