Liberty Of The Seas Headed To Spain For 2011

Guess which other big ship will be sharing Barcelona with the Liberty Of The Seas? That's right. The Norwegian Epic. Sounds like Barcelona will soon be a popular place for cruisers!

Yipee thats great news, we sailed on Voyager from Barcelona on the med two years ago and it was great, nice to see Liberty coming here too.

I figured you'd like this news. Sounds like shorter flights are in store for many Europeans who want to cruise on new and larger ships, and we Americans and Canadians might be having to make those overseas flights.

Another point about this move...in 2011 RCI will not have a 7-night cruise out of Miami. I think it has been at least 20 or more years since that last happened.

why not Dave? thats tragic no 7 nighter not even out of fort lauderdale or miami itself? Is it just back to backs?

No, the 7 night cruises will be from Fort Lauderdale.

phew ok, but I must say the jet lag of travelling to the USA to get the ship is tough! Its fine going out when your excited but coming homes a killer! I might try the med on liberty! Thank you

Last month on the Independence the crew was talking quite a bit about the upcoming year round repositioning of the ship. Many of them weren’t looking forward to cruising in the winter out of Southampton instead of the warm Caribbean.
