I am a first time cruiser. The choices for the amount of time and the port we preferred ended up to be either sov. of the sea or carnival fantasy. I was, after a great deal of research online, about to reserve on sos. But I started coming across a few recent reviews for cruises taken in Dec., and all have been negative.Im looking for more reviews. I dont think I can bring myself to switch my choice to the fantasy after reading the last cdc report, it was pretty gross and they got an 83. I may have to axe the whole cruise things for now until I can do a longer cruise. All advice and comments welcome!

If you're willing to go up a bit in budget, you could consider Disney Cruise Line. Yes there will be lots of children aboard, but they generally are happy children, and there are many good things to keep adults happy (no casino though). Food is good, in my opinion, and the quality of the shows is excellent. They offer 3- and 4-night cruises from Port Canaveral as well.
