Yes. They are different types of OBC. The Visa Card OBC is something you earned - I believe if you don't use all of it you get it refunded in cash. I hope that's right. On the other hand the credits for stockholders, NextCruise, etc., are use it or lose it. I may be wrong but I think they align the credits so you burn the credit card OBC first and then the stockholder credit. They don't want to be in a situation where they might owe you a partial refund.

Dave, I had two posts in a row. The first one, I wondered if I applied today, and made a purchase as soon as I got the card, would I be able logistically to get the onboard credit for a May 11 cruise?

Also, can husband and I each get a card and each use the credit for the same stateroom, on the same cruise.

It is probably too late for a May 11 cruise. The points go by the billing cycle for the card.

Yes, if you each have an individual RCI Visa then you can apply credits for both cards to the same booking. Actually the award coupons can be transferred. For instance, if Sonny wanted to give me an onboard credit for my upcoming cruise, he can redeem his points and put my name and booking info on the coupon and send it in.

The Home Depot Rewards card is good for redeeming points toward RCI. Especially if you are doing a lot of remodeling. You get 3x points and then redeem for $$ off certs. You have to book through the HD TA but all other credits still apply. Even next cruise booking credit, since HD eats the cost of your certs. We flip houses and a kitchen remodel gets us $500 off the top for a cruise.
