Sailing Valentines Day 2005

We are leaving Valentines Day on the Enchantment. This is our first cruise and I am just curious if there will be anything special to celebrate this day.Has anyone out there ever cruised at this time of year?

I have been on ships over Valentine's day but do not remember anything major being done to celebrate it. My guess is that there will be mention of it, but no major events celebrating it. That is just a guess though.

I, too, have enjoyed Valentine's Day on numerous occassions aboard a ship. In fact, I will once again be on a ship Valentines Day 2005 - this time on the Splendour. Crystal celebrated it with flowers for the ladies and special desserts at dinner, but on other ships I have been on nothing special was done.

Thanks for the replies, we were just curious. This is not a romantic getaway vacation for husband and I, it is a family vacation travelling with our daughters.Thought there may be more couples on this particular cruise leaving on valentines day versus families, but this is the only time we could try our first cruise together as a family.They get along well and can pretty well entertain themselves but they hope to meet some younger people too.
