Feel sorry for the 310 passengers that have been affected by some kind of food poisoning on Vision of The Seas. All passengers & crew were ordered to remain on the ship.Passengers who show no symptoms would be free to leave at Santos.
Its not very often incidents like this happen so it's a surprise when you hear about them.
I hadn't heard about this yet, Jack; are they certain it is food poisoning and not the dreaded norovirus? The symptoms would be similar. I just can't imagine food poisoning with all the precautions they take.
I still wouldn't call it "food poisoning" since it is a term often misused, especially in initial media reports and before any laboratory testing has been completed. People in the southern U.S. call norovirus "the stomach flu" and it has nothing to do with influenza, for example.
Yep. We're going to find out ONCE AGAIN that some greedy rube thought it was more important to speed past everyone to grab the biggest roll with the best outer brown than it was to take a minute to disinfect his hands.
I highly doubt this was a case of food poisoning. More than likely the Norovirus that f-mattox and Dave mentioned. It has been going around lately. It doesn't take long to spread on a cruise ship when people don't wash and sanitize their hands.
