Labadee Dock Update

Apparently the Labadee dock is almost done, and in fact it's first ship will not be the Oasis. Rumor is the dock will berth an RCI ship on or before November 30 (probably the Freedom OTS). Oasis visits Labadee for the first time on December 3.

Not so fast. I just read another tweet that said it won't be ready and the Oasis will have to tender on 12/3! That ought to be fun.

Rumor has it that they will use the Enchantment of the Seas as a tender for Oasis at Labadee!! If so, I suggest that Dave applies for an additional cruise credit on the C & A account!!

My husband and I will be in Labadee on Dec 15 on the Freedom. As of now, the itinerary lists the ship as tendered (not docked).

Just returned from Freedom of the Seas yesterday. We were the first ship to dock in Labadee! Lots of improvements to the island since last year. I was very impressed.

The dock was signed off on November 30, and as msharmanshaw said the Freedom was the 1st to use it last week. Oasis was the 2nd ship to dock there. It is a huge improvement!

Labadee's improvements are quite good. I like the sidewalks they have laid out although you still need to keep your wits about you with all the staff people riding around on 4-wheelers and other vehicles.

It sounds great to actually have a dock now at Labadee. Is it still located in the same general area right in front of the water park?

Also, any pics of the improvements?
