Well this is a little silly but I was wondering what age one has to be in order to drink while on a cruise. My wife is 19 and I am 21. She is a little weary about being stuck on a boat and not being able to drink. Just wondering. THanks

Please remember, the only silly question is the one not asked!
So... what I read last night in our cruise manual is that when you are in port where the drinking age is 18, it is legal to drink below 21. If you are at sea or in port where the drinking age is not under 21, the age limit holds.
Hope this makes sense and hope you enjoy your trip!! Tell us where you are heading!! We are all curious.
Royal Caribbean's policy is that people over 18 can have beer and wine, people over 21, obviously, can have anything. Since you are over 21, your wife is also, at least pretty much. They will put a hole in her card when you board, which signifies over 18 but under 21. Long story short, if she wants hard liqour, you can just get it for her, or she can get beer for herself.
Hey Lorenzo, this is a tad cheezy, but cruises & romance goes hand in hand. Buy the wife those drinks for her to share with you. U2 will find out that sharing is vital for a happy married life. At cruise-end, U2 will both share the sail & sign booze bill anyway
On the serious matter on many of our cruises, overage drinkers (who wants to impress) buy drinks for impresionable & way-underage young teens. But this happens a lot daily in anytown or place.
