Hi everyone.

Well, last week on the Freedom for me was an eventful one, to say the least. However, there were a few instances that I'm wondering if anybody can confirm.

I saw on another site (I won't mention which one, as it would violate the rules), that there was a small fire on board. I did not realize this, and supposedly it was in a cabin.

What I was aware of was that there was at least one, and possibly 2, medical emergencies, as I got conflicting information onboard. One person stated that it was a passenger, who was found in his cabin, and another stated that it was an ice skating cast member, injured during practice. I only heard the PA announcement for the medical emergency, which went something like "Alpha, location 3267. This makes me think it was a passenger, with the 3267 referring to the stateroom number.

Well, apparently there were two separate instances, which I kind of thought from the beginning, given all the conflicting information I was able to gather.

The first one was that someone slipped and was bleeding, and there was the need for a blood transfusion. The captain came on asking for donors, and the response was so overwhelming that they actually turned people away once they had enough.

The second one was the ice skater who was injured, which apparently was during a show, and not during rehearsal. This injury was during a "headbanger" move (that's actually what it's called), where the male partner picks up the female by the legs and swings her up and down, bringing her head very close to the ice. Those of you that watch figure skating probably know what I'm talking about. Anyway, on the upswing, the male skater lost his footing and dropped his partner. She hit her head and had to leave the ice, and did not return.

Hopefully both of these people will be okay.

There were a couple of emergencies on the Liberty last week also, but I didn't bother looking into any details. I don't need to know things like that unless it involves some one I know. Reading your post was kind of depressing in my opinion.
