Flying into Fort Lauderdale & Hotels near Port of Miami

Hi-
The night before our cruise we are flying into the Fort Lauderdale airport.

What is the best way to get to the Port of Miami from the Ft Lauderdale airport? Is there a shuttle bus? Or perhaps a taxi is the best way to go? (Our flight arrives late at night, around 11:30 PM.)

Also, what's a good hotel to stay at near at the Port of Miami?

If you're getting in that late at night, I'd suggest staying overnight in Ft Lauderdale - there are several hotels near the airport - then taking a Super Shuttle or similar to Miami the next day after breakfast.
