I hated saying "good bye" last Saturday as she pulled out of Half Moon Pier in Norfolk, VA making her way 1 last time to Bermuda from here, that was a blow to this really beautiful port!
Norfolk's Cruise Passenger Service Voted Best in the United States | June 23, 2009
Norfolk's Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center has gotten a solid thumbs-up from the world's second-largest cruise line, Royal Caribbean International. In a recent ranking, Norfolk's passenger approval ratings are the highest in the country and second in the world, trailing Venice, Italy by only one point.
Guess it didn't mean much. Now we only have 1 cruise line left...Carnival.
I did however find out a nice tid bit. You can leave out of Baltimore and stay a day early at one of 6 Hotels that have a relationship with RCCL and leave your car at the hotel and not pay parking, that only would be worth going in a day early and not have to park and pay at the Pier. You get transfers to the ship and back too. Not sure but heard they may come back in 2012 when they have more ships.
