Congrats on your winning. I hope you have the same luck in the casino. On explorer, the quarters were in coins, the dollar slots gave tokens.

I've never needed anything for seasickness, but I've heard many people swear by the seabands. Because they aren't a medication, you don't have side effects.
Have a great time. this is me green with envy

Hello muchcat, welcome to Cruise-Chat! My wife wears the patches and never became seasick. Make sure you bring an extension cord along for your CPAP. There is no outlet near the bed.

I forgot to congratulate you on winning the cruise. We actually won the first two cruises that we took...ruined us for life

I agree about the older ships paying in coins but Liberty and Independence both pay with paper tickets so I'm interested to see what Freedom offers. I too enjoy the clank-clank of the coins instead of the "fake" dink-dink

The cruise ship doctor took away my patches and was very disgusted by them ("You Americans and your patches!") He was Swedish and quite proud of his country being on the cutting edge in medicine. He felt the patches are not worth the side effects and nine cruises later I would agree. He recommended Bonine, which is similar to the Dramamine less drowsy. I have good luck with this. I am very sensitive to motion and nauseate easily. I use HALF a tab on an as needed basis--which is to say only on rough seas. The ship has a lot less motion than your car. My husband and kids (age 15-21) are also very sensitive to motion. They use nothing on the ship and are fine.
