First Cruise Navigator of the Seas

We are going on our first cruise Sept 2005 to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Western Caribbean. Our cabin is on deck 10 1536. Has anyone stayed on this deck or cabin, what is it like? Also we are pretty apprehensive about getting seasick. Seems to always affect us on boats and ferries etc., would like advice on how to prevent this.

Tessa, the Navigator is HUGE! You probably will not feel any motion whatsoever unless there are substantial seas. Even then, it would be minimal. However, if you are prone to motion sickness, see your doctor well in advance of the cruise and he can prescribe the "patch" for you. They work great and eliminate the need for concern.

Thank you Tom that helps a great deal. Feel a lot better now about going on the ship. We are so looking forward to it, seems a long way off.
On embarkation day as we are from the UK, will there be a seperate line we would have to go in?

My wife and I sailed on the Navigator last year. Although we weren't on as high a deck as you will be (we were on deck 6 forward/starboard), we never experienced any discomfort or even noticed that the ship was moving. Granted, our weather was almost perfect, and not everyone feels the effects of ship movement. Being our first cruise, we were concerned, but I guess we're some of the lucky ones.

The ship is fantastic. We had the best time of our lives and celebrated our 30th anniversary. The staff and crew could not seem to do enough for us. I definately recommend the ship.

Thank you for your info. Will probably get the patches just incase, but everyone says we hopefully will not feel any movement. Anyway whatever happens we are really looking forward to this cruise and will make the most of everything. It will be our first vacation on our own in over 18 years, so hope to make it romantic and memorable.

Hi Tessa, we were on Navigator in December 03, and loved it!! Movement was minimal, but make sure that you do take something to prevent any seasickness. I purchased some very inexpensive tablets at Wal-Mart that a friend told me about, and they worked great without making me drossy (ask the pharmacist). We took a ferry to get to Cozumel and I was glad that I had the pills with me. Have a great time!!
