Just returned from 2 fantastic weeks on the Seranade.I think the rumors of RCCL's demise are greatly exaggerated. The crew and entertainment staff excelled. My Time Dining was even better than I thought it would be.I did see some cutbacks,the production shows now have 2 less dancers and they no longer print a newspaper but I also saw some new stuff like the water plan similar to the coke card.I can't wat to sail again!

Welcome back Casey & Kathy! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time. It had to have been fantastic, I love 14 day itineraries, you actually have time to unwind. In fact, I'd be happy with 100+ day itinerary (like that's ever going to happen). Can't wait to see what y'all book next!

My Time Dining? I'm not familiar with that term? Can anyone clarify?

My time dining is like dining in a restaurant. You go to the diningroom when you're ready to eat. If they have a table available, you will be seated immediately. If not, you are given a pager and will be paged when your table becomes available. It is not the main diningroom, but they serve the same menu. You do not have the same wait staff, unless you request them. You do not have the same tablemates, unless you meet before dinner and are seated together.

RCCL has been tweeking the MTD for the better.First and most important it is in the Main Dining room,ours was in the Reflections on deck 5.They set aside about 150 tables most hold 2-4 but some larger.Each waiter has a section and we were always seated with the same waiter and although they advised making a reservation early each day we never did and since they had many tables set aside we never waited to be seated.You have to prepay your tips in advance and are given vouchers to give to your servers.What sold us was we never spent more than an hour and a half at dinner and that included desert and coffee,no more 2 and a half hour dinners.We were also told the night before that the crew would be singing or preforming the dance of the Flaming Babaloos and what time so we would not miss it.
