Great photos Dave! She looks like a great ship. However, unless they reduce prices, I'm not sure I can afford to sail on her, even though I kind of would just for the experience.

While at Labadee the Prime Minister of Haiti was there to greet the ship and have a ceremony to promote Haitian tourism. I got pushed aside by his security team as the entourage entered the little open-air theater they used for the event.
I think pricing will come down once the Allure debuts next December.
I have to admit that I was surprised they had lobster tails for the Labadee barbecue lunch. You could take all you wanted. So there I was, with a hamburger, some cole slaw, and a few portions of lobster tail (they were small).
Labadee has a charm to it. One thing I like is the marching band that performs there. This is a local school band with the works - drum major, majorettes, a full band. They march around playing all day. I liked it when I saw RCI let the band members get in line for the lunch buffet. In a country as poor as Haiti I'm sure those kids appreciate a nice meal.
Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures!
Dave, what kind of cabin did you stay in? In your opinion, between the cabins on the Oasis and cabins from the Freedom class, which is nicer?
I saw some of the pictures of Junior suite, sky loft suite from the other forum, and they are not very impressive. Maybe it just me, I'm not into the modern style. Did you have a chance to see any cabin like D1, E1?

I had a standard outside cabin with big window. I forget the category. It was cabin 9506 which looks directly out over the bow.
These cabins are mostly comparable with the Freedom class. I did think storage space was less, and the closet was hard to access. I hate closets where you can only get to half of it at a time, and then have to close the doors so you can access the other side. Poor design.
They also have hidden the electrical outlets. They are under the vanity table and not especially easy to access. Frankly I had to hunt for them. They have an outlet between the beds, but you can't access it when they put the beds into the queen-sized configuration.
I also had noise issues. I heard every flush from every cabin above me and on either side of me. I think this is mostly a forward cabin problem. Therefore, I cannot recommend booking any cabin in the front part of the ship. I'd go so far as to say don't book anything in front of the forward elevators.
Sounded like Oasis have some minor issues, hopefully they build better with Allure . Dave, I looked at the Oasis's deck plan and I think your cabin was the ocean view stateroom category F. Its just plain crazy that the Oasis has way too many kind of cabins! Thanks for the great information and advised.

Dave, thank you for sharing your pictures with us. Labadee sure looks nice and warm to me - especially with a major snow storm forecasted for Southeast Wisconsin.
Dave, thanks for sharing your great memories with all of us. You did a great job of taking the right pics and feeding up with your candid comments regarding your experiences. Thanks again.
What a change since the last time we were on Labadee!
I guess I saw something in one of the pictures from Labadee that looked like a guy in a chair lift type of thing. Maybe it was just the camera angle? Maybe it's just my eyes How far is the Dragon's Breath away from the dock?
