Some interesting notes about Captain Bill Wright. He is American yet did his nautical studies in Norway. He earned his Master Mariner license in Norway in 1991 and received a Master's degree in Marine Engineering from Vestfold College in Norway in 1992. He is fluent in Norwegian. He is Senior Vice President of Marine Operations for Royal Caribbean International. I met him on the Freedom Of The Seas inaugural and he is quite engaging.

Did anyone breathe as they were going under the bridge? That was incredible. I'm sure the clearance was more than what appeared to be 6", but she was close, and she was trucking.

Dave, that is such a great video. I just loved watching it. We went under the same bridge on the Norwegian Jewel this summer and it looked very close from the ship to the overhead bridge then (must have been an optical illusion), but this one is REALLY close.
