OK...silly but important question....during the sail away.... which side is the best view? Port or Starboard? For instance when leaving Miami the left side is the better scenic view. We have never cruised from Port Everglades...recommendations? From videos on YouTube the left seems to be the obvious choice. Other than that the keys to our trip are: Obtain one bottle of Johnny Walker Blue, zipline, eat well, and be thankful for the opportunity to sail this ship.

We watched the Oasis pull out of Port Everglades while on board the Independence of the Seas in January. Due to the location of the Oasis terminal the ship backed away from the terminal and made a 120 degree counter clockwise turn before heading out of the port.

Looking at my pictures of the departure either side should give you a wonderful view. A port side view will put you right next to the condominium buildings as you leave port.

Enjoy your cruise!

We did Oasis in Feb. What a great ship! Port side is my favorite since you can wave at the condos.
Try the Italian restaurant in Central Park. Our friends did it for lunch and RAVED about it. I am thinking of booking again just to eat there. Also, don't waste time on the Windjammer, there are too many better places for lunch and snacks. Don't miss the build your own pizza.
Have a great cruise!

I was on the Oasis in January and either side is good....but I remember the condos were on the port side....lots and lots of people wave thru the windows at you....You will really love the ship.....so much to do....Happy sailing...
