Splendour troubles?

I've just had a message from a friend on Splendour at the moment saying that they have dramatically increased hygiene levels on the ship. Hand washing on entering the restaurants, sanitation very obvious all over the ship etc.
Anyone heard if there is an outbreak on board?
We have other friends sailing on her on 03rd July, so getting a bit concerned.

Hmmmm, that is standard procedure if there is an expected outbreak. I just read where this last week had the highest amount of outbreaks since 1994 according to the CDC. The Island Princess had 375 passengers and 49 crew affected with norovirus.

Hi,

even if there was a Norwalk virus outbreak or something similar onboard, it's plenty of time until July 3rd. These outbreaks normally do not last for several weeks but for a couple of days only. There are usually quite a few outbreakes in late spring / early summer.

I'm sure your friends will be fine.
