Thanks. I looks like I'll be sending my wife on the cruise without me. Some things came up that need my attendance. My wife's best friend lives in New York and said that she would go on the cruise with Esther. I have insurance but this isn't a medical reason. If we both stayed home we would loose all the money that we paid for the cruise - this way we don't loose anything. Her friend said she would pay for half the cost. I'm kind of glad Esther is doing this because she will extend her stay in New York and get to see a Broadway show and some of the sites. It's only a week...I'll survive without her for that long. I know one thing for sure - she's going to have a lot more fun than me!

That's a tough one, Sonny.

Anticipating a great cruise vacation and then having to pull up short at the last minute and not go. Has to be hard on the brakes!

Glad that Esther could salvage the cost.

I'm wondering how a passenger substitution works if happening that close to sailing. Do you have to cancel the original Set Sail pass and prepare a revised one, or can you just change the names? Any other impacts or administrative changes that needed to be done?

Don't forget to give Esther the camera so she can maintain the "Great Photos" tradition!

Sonny, I am so sorry to hear that. I know Esther would much rather you be there. I know she'll have fun, but....just won't be the same. Hope everything works out ok!

That's a shame Sonny. But at least you've managed to salvage things and won't lose the cruise fare.

Yeah, Dave. It really would have been a bummer if I couldn't go but still had to pay for it. It was no problem changing the passenger names. I'm just chalking it up to having a new cruise experience--one that I never want again.

Hopefully all will be OK..
Have a couple special island drinks during Esther's absence and enjoy one of your favorite ship meals to ease the pain.
