We just finished a 4 night cruise on Majesty of the Sea. The ship had a major renovation since we were on Majesty four years ago. It is a nice ship and nice trip for four nights. I would definitely recommend the Majesty of the Sea for someone who is contemplating their 1st cruise or a cruise with children. I was disappointed in the quality of the evening entertainment, but everything else was top notch.

Good to hear. I'll be on the Majesty for a 4 night cruise on May 10th. I know the entertainment can very from ship to ship, but I can live when poor shows just as long as I have good food and service.

We will be on the Majesty on 5/10 and this will be our 1st cruise also. What kind of entertainment will be on the cruise?

When we were on Majesty last week, each evening the Royal Caribbean Singers and Dancers performed. They were like a high school swing choir. One night they had a comedian/juggler, but he wasn't a very good juggler. If you wanted to skip the shows, there were a lot of other activities on the ship each evening that you could go to and that could keep you busy.

Influence

I was on the Majesty back in October of 2007 for my first cruise. I assume your ports of call will be Nassau, CocoCay, and Key West. In Nassau, take a cab over to Atlantis. It should be $4 USD one way. Don't bother exchanging your money, as when I was there, $1 US = $1 Bahamas Dollar, and both are widely accepted.

I don't know what you like to do, so it's hard to say what to recommend. I did snorkeling in CocoCay, which is RCI's private island. Because of this, you should be the only ship there. However, this is a port where you have to anchor in the harbor, then tender ashore, so allow time for that. There is a barbecue style lunch at this port. Here, I did snorkeling and parasailing, both booked through the ship.

Not too familiar with Key West, so I can't give you much help there. Again, I did the parasailing excursion as well as a glass bottom boat tour, both booked through the ship.

Enjoy your cruise! As kls stated, this is a great ship for a first cruise, if this is your first.
