Yes, they should. Blocking the track with chairs is no different than dragging a chair into the rock-climbing area. In both cases they are interfering with an approved activity.

It's not fair to those using the track. I don't know why some think that the rules apply to everyone else, but not them.

For the first time ever, I did a brisk paced mile walk on a cruise ship - this being last month on the Grandeur. 5 laps was one mile. Now, I don't normally exercise (I know) but I was surprised at how well I did. Took me 10 minutes and some change but I felt good. My son accompanied me - I think he was humoring me but he didn't let on, although I think he was surprised I could do it.

It was a mild day but we simply didn't have a lot of sun worshippers aboard so the chairs were not a problem.

Oh, one thing to report: RCI now issues all pool towels at the pool area. The cabin attendants don't leave them in the rooms anymore. On our cruise I just had to tell the guy our cabin number, and he told me even if they weren't returned there would be no charges. However, he also told me that RCI will soon be taking your cruise card and scanning it when you get towels. No card, no towel. Then if they are not returned they will hit your shipboard account. He didn't know the new penalty fee. Being it was $25 for many years I fully expect it to be higher.

They were handing out towels at the pool ares when I was on the Independence in March. Sure has been a lot of changes in the past year. How does one keep up with it all?

I know what you mean, and I'm impressed. I don't exercise much either and am a smoker. I did the On Deck For The Cure walk and it about pooped me out. I am going to cut back on the smoking and get some walks in ahead of time this time.

I don't know what is wrong with people that do inconsiderate things on cruises. It blows my mind sometimes.

Amen, treat others as you wish to be treated. It amazes me when I end up impressing someone, just because I treated them with respect or kindness, and they explain I made them feel special. I thought we were all raised that way....I realize how lucky I am.
