smuggling booze

We are not super cheap people, but want to know if anyone has ever brought liquor (very safely wrapped) in their luggage onboard. My husband wants to bring a little onboard-we will of course purchase many drinks, otherwise. Has anyone done this safely?

I heard the best possible way to get liquor on board a ship. Package it as if it were a gift and then tell the security people it is a gift for the Captain. There is no way they will take it from you.

No problem i brought on a 12 of beer, and put in in my suit case, I went with 7 other couples and all of them brought on beer, wine, wiskey, when we stopped in mexico, i brought a 6 pack of bottles and put them in my nap sack and got them on with no problem, when it was put through the x-ray machine i laughed you could see it so clear. Try to bring plastic bottles or cans of beer, they can be rough with you bags and bottles may break.

Hello, We just got back from our Cruise on April 24 from the Century and we had absolutely no problem with bringing beer and liquor aboard to drink in our room.
The crew didnt see to care really. Even when I went to turn in some Bacardi from Puerto Rico at the desk the young men seemed suprised even that we were voluntarily turning it in. They said- Are you sure you want to turn this in??? Century need not worry because we all drank up quite a tab onboard also!

Bubble Wrap works wonders....

We actually brought in a small box of wine in our regular luggage for our trip on the Century last summer. The airport slashed the cardboard, but left the blader intact. We will bring a small box on our next cruise, but it will be in our carry-on. The room staff are the only people who see anything...and appreciate the extra tip for not telling on us.
