Just to be accurate, Johnny Rockets was free when we went in 2000...We took 3 teenagers and I know I didn't pay for them to eat...their was only a charge for the usual extra drinks...soda, milk shakes, etc.

When Rockets on the ships first came out on Voyager they had it free for a while in 2000, then added the charge, then stopped it again, and finally started it again and made it permanent. Hence my saying "pretty much" since I didn't want to get into the history.
At the time they claimed the fee was to control access since it had gotten out of hand with kids hanging out there all day and other passengers couldn't get seated.
In a 7 day cruise there will be no need to dine in the same place twice and it shouldn't break your bank - With all the specialty dining options -it sure looks like RCCL has taken a page out of the NCL handbook!!
Dave - How I wish I lived closer to Florida to take advantage of the cruise opportunities! Needless to say that your upcoming adventure on the Oasis fills not just myself but all of us cruise-chatters with envy!! All of us wish we were there too!! We anxiously await your reviews and comments - as for me....I'm booked the end of Sept.2011 for her sister the Allure- as penny and I have said..."So many ships...So little time!" (Why does my bucket list keep getting longer???)
