Went on Mariner March 09 and it was great. Saw lots of dolphins and whales right near the ship many times. Loved Puerto Vallarta and Cabo, our Mazatlan kayaking tour was "rustic" wouldnt do that particular tour again. Ship was great, food not as good as on the Adventure in the Windjammer maybe luck of the draw, dont know. But all in all would recommend it. Mazatlan would be great for a city tour, as our dinner companions told us.

Have been on this cruise once. My husband still talks about the snorkeling at Cabo as being one of the best experiences he has had. We did a city tour on Mazatlan with a cab which was interesting. We did a beach day at Puerto V. and it was okay, there is a lot of undertow and surf on the Pacific and no sheltered areas there. If you go to the beaches it is nice to be in a resorts zone where sales people have only controlled (or no) access. We booked a day at a resort and used their facilities. All in all I would take this cruise again.

Keeping in mind that my interests may be different from others' -- we enjoyed the Colonial Villages tour out of Mazatlan. It was interesting to go into the mountains and see some of the small towns in which people live and work. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was a long tour, yet I'd do it again.
