We are trying to decide on a honeymoon for next july. either a 7 day all inclusive in Cabo San Lucas or a 14 night (7 night b2b on Navigator) Mediterranean Cruise.

what do you guys think?

we've never been to Europe so if we do decide to embark on that choice, we would spend a day or two in Rome.

thanks for all in insite!

Welcome to Cruise-Chat! Fourteen day cruise versus 7 day all inclusive? That's a no-brainer for me--CRUISE!

Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

I think the 7 day all inclusive would be more exciting and memorable....NOT!

You're not comparing apples with apples. I don't think any one that as cruised in the Mediterranean would vote for the Cabo San Lucas all inclusive. The Navigator is a beautiful ship.

I haven't cruised the Med, but I'd still vote for a 14 day b2b cruise! Welcome to Cruise-Chat, CruisinPilot. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and we do hope your upcoming honeymoon cruise!

Well, you can sit on the same beach in Cabo everyday and stare at the same scenery, or you can see several different countries and sites. No brainer to me.

Great ship do the cruise

In my opinion, Sonny had the best response. His "apples with apples" comment was right on the money. If you are going to make seasoned cruise veterans choose between cruises, you need to have competitive cruises. Cabo is nice but a 14 day Med. cruise is something to remember. (I hope it goes better than Sonny\'s transatlantic voyage to Europe I would go for the Med. cruise and let us help you in picking out breathtaking excursions for each port of call.

I think you've already made up your mind, and you're wanting affirmation, which you'll get plenty of here. That's why you're asking on a cruise chat board and not on an all-inclusive-lovers board!

Have you cruised before? Have you been to an all-inclusive resort before?

Of course, you could go with an upscale cruise line for 10 days, one which is all inclusive.

We have done 2 Med cruises and we also go to Cabo each of the last 6 years for the Sammy Hager Birthday Bash the 2nd week of October and stay in the all-inclusives. CRUISE....
The All-Inlusives are not located in Cabo except for the Tresoro and I would not recomend it. They are located between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San lucas and require a 25 dollar cab ride each way.The Me is nice, right on Nikki Beach but not an All- Inc.I would rather do Puerto Vallarta and stay at the Palace Resort. The Jacuzzi in every room is nice for a honeymoon and the resort is first class.
The biggest drawback on the cruise IMHO is the ports require 1.5 hours on a bus several times Rome, Florence they are not port cities and most sailings are port intensive. You really don't get time to use the ship. The last Med sailing we did was a 12 night on the Brilliance and we spent 1500 extra just on excursions. It is a great way to see europe but be prepared $$$.
We did a overnight in Venice and the Captian was able to pull up right infront of St Marks Square so you were able to come and go all night and that beat anything you would be able to find in Mexico.
