Dwayne, Dwayne, Dwayne I see that you like a little sarcasm. I can see that I am outnumbered of this board on the topic of lobster. However, let me tell you my fears. They take away lobster today, steak tomorrow, fish and shrimp next, before you know it all you will have is windjammer food, pizza and hamburgers.

I know I'm strange, but I truly prefer crab to lobster. Especially, Florida Stone Crab Claws-steamed-not cold-yummo! They never serve those on board. Wow, maybe I won't be able to cruise anymore

With all the talk about cutting RCI's benefits does anyone know if the Shipshape program is still active and if so what are the color of the Shipshape dollars these days? I've got a bunch from some past cruises when they ran out of my size t-shirts & I never used them. The ones I have are yellow.

The Shipshape program has changed to Vitality program. You still get the same things visor, tshirts, keychain, etc. The shipshape dollars are no longer passed out. In its place you have a circular paper-token with the word Vitality in the center. Also, the colors are only white and navy blue. There is no yellow on any of the products. I hope this helps

You aren't the only one. I'll take crab over lobster any day. I think it is more flavorful.

Agree, crab legs can be great, but very messy. I don't see it becoming a staple in the dinning room.

I was pleasantly surprised to see crab legs on the menu in January on the Golden Princess.
For those that really want the lobster, two of RCI's competitors have lobster on every cruise. Even three night cruises.

If I recall correctly, on the Caribbean Princess last year we had king crab legs & lobster claws 3 times at the Horizon buffet. Serve yourself. Of course they weren't split open like in the dr but good never the less.

My personal favorite is BBQ Dungeness from Joe's Crab Shack. On Freedom last year, the midnight buffet had crab claws. We happen to be standing right in front of them when they announced that the buffet was 'now open'. Talk about lucky!! That dish was empty in about 25 seconds.
