Seriously considering booking this out of New Orleans on the 10 December.

Can anyone tell me about the ship?

How is the port of New Orleans?

Have been on NCL twice and liked it, but that was several years ago.

Any comments appreciated.

Hey Ron,

You can't go wrong with the Grandeur. We sailed on her April 2004. Excellent trip. Ship is awesome. New Orleans is a great place to debark out of. They have so much to do/see there. I know they are in the process of building some new parking garages, and possibly some new docks for additional ships to port so the parking is kind of a mess right now, but I understand that is supposed to all be complete by Spring 2006. I ma sure you have the same ports: Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel. Grand cayman can be kind of iffy because its a tender port, and often times the excursions get cancelled due to rough seas. (we lost out on our Stingray tour) I have been on 7 cruises and I think the Grandeur is most likley my favorite so far. Don't forget to play the Quest game on board. Its hilarious. Have a great time!!
